What a great time we had. Lots of crocs, some hippos and the famous monitor lizard that really was bigger than daniel! This weekend is the Viso parents time. I'll go and speak formally to Daniel's teachers about his progress in the different subjects. I've had only good feedback so far so it'll be a great time I think. I'll let you know. Andy & Uta, you can skype Vicky Mann, Daniel's teacher, on Sunday for a one-to-one.

All is well here. Daniel is happy and working hard. He's fitted in so well but does still miss you all. No suprise!

This was taken today, Tuesday 14th September. Daniel is enjoying school but doesn't like the 8pm bedtimes and having to remain quiet once in bed!

He got 20/20 in a recent maths test so he's obviously doing well there.

This weekend we're going to swim with hippos. The game is to see how far you can put your hand into their mouths before they bite. Great fun. Actually, we see them from a distance as they are really dangerous and, as much as Daniel would enjoy it, we are not going to see who would win in a fight between an 8yr old boy and an angry hippo!

We'll have some photos on that next week.

So, it's Saturday. Daniel and I slept in till about 9am this morning - naughty, I know, but it's my last proper morning with him.

He's playing with some friends now so I have a few minutes to get some work done for Monday.

Tomorrow we hit the road running - service at 9:30 then full on until 9pm. Daniel meets his new school friends at about 2pm so thats a time to pray.

He loves and misses you all so much. After skyping yesterday he was a little tearful but it was all good.

First days in Kenya

I love you all from all my heart.

So far it has been really good at Africa. We're missing all my friends and all my family.

I went to a Safari Park and saw some fish eagles and many Rhinos and Buffalos and zebras and warthogs and and the ugly storks with funny faces and the one with the horns that we saw first.

School here is really good. I'm enjoying the school
